Brady Andrew McDougall (b. 1997, Winston-Salem, NC, USA) is an interdisciplinary artist working to understand the historical trends that have led humankind to believe that culture separates them from the natural world. His work focuses on contemporary Western existence, hegemonic cultural values, the systems that perpetuate them, and the spaces that eschew them in search of new models for coexistence.
McDougall works with video, remixed media, photography, poetry, and found objects to create immersive installations, performances, and videos. He received a BA in Film Studies and a BA in Digital Storytelling from the University of Missouri in May 2019. He is pursuing an MFA in the Art Video program at Syracuse University. McDougall also works as an adjunct instructor in the Film and Media Arts department at Syracuse University.
